es! VH1 wants to do some video of pony play for a documentary on the Internet and how it's helped people meet others with similar interests.  Doesn't matter if it's relationships, dating, or pony play.. yea!!  So, let's have a pony gathering for VH1 to video pony play and interview those involved.  The date was not set until the last minute and was rushed so that VH1 could have time to edit before the already scheduled airdate.  No problem, but this was right after Leather Retreat so some who traveled from other areas to attend LR could not come back to the area for this.  Hence, a smaller turn out but still and fun time.

I talked with my friends from Carriage Woods, who are currently closed, to see if we could do some pony play and video tape it for VH1.. Those guys at Carriage Woods are the BEST!  So, we have location and invites, well sorta.. Most responded to posts on the pony play list.  A few were approached via other internet sources and one or two I just called cause they were close and might be interested.

So, June 23, 2003 we all gather at Carriage Woods with a crew from VH1.  There were a lot of nice ponies there.. Spellbound, RedHotPony (who also did some riding as Goody), Kitty (who rode and was a pony girl), Kristine (rider), Varian (rider), Lady Contessa (rider), Brandy (rider), Ivy (rider and pony but was sick and didn't get to do much), Ron (rider), Paul Reed (rider) & Lilly (rider although she only rode "Handsome" a bio horse and took photos).   The rest were crew or didn't want to be included and just there with friends, etc... so I'll not mention those names here.

So, this is mostly what I did that day.. there will be a write up about the overall activities in "Equus Eroticus" Issue number 14 (I think it is-the next one <LOL>) with more info on other's activities.

I didn't tack up until most everyone I knew was coming had arrived.  My first rider had to be the owner of Carriage Woods, after all, she was gracious enough to allow us to be there even though they are closed.  She had also spent the morning spreading out 12 tons of gravel/dirt for the paddock and arena to not be so wet and mushy.  I have to tell you, Lady Contessa had become quite and excellent human equine rider.  I for sure have to eventually spend my time there as her horse as promised and I am excited that she has become so great at it.  She will be an excellent owner (for a day, a week, year, or life).

So after she trotted me around the trails a while, it was time for some riding with Kitty.  She is a beautiful red head and could pass for Lady Contessa's sister.  She was dressed in her riding pants and boots, mounted and was ready to run.  She didn't ride really long, but she was a demanding rider making me trot most of the time.  Along side us (or more behind us) was Kristine riding RedHotPony.  I could tell Kitty would have liked to have ridden longer and was really enjoying her horse but she also wanted to experience being a ponygirl and time was limited.  So she dismounted and went off to change.

Kristine rode me a while going down the trails and back to the barn where we went in to see "Handsome".  Ok, so who is "Handsome"?  He is a retired thoroughbred race horse and one of 3 bio horses that live at Carriage Woods.  The other two are only a year old and were so funny in front of the cameras.  Rolling over like dogs and doing everything they could to get in front of the camera.. hilarious.  I might add that after the cameras left, they got still and quiet again <LOL>.

So, Kristine is sitting on me inside the barn next to "Handsome" so he could get used to the "other" horse who would later be ridden along side him down the trail.  After Kristine rode me, Brandy got her first ride.  Now Brandy, she is someone very special to me.  We've known each other for many years having met at a Derby Party in Louisville.  I thought she rode me there, but she said she had never ridden me before.  Well, for years, we've been at events and tried to get time together for her to ride but it just never happened.  I've visited her in Kentucky and for some reason, it just didn't happen.. today.. it happens!

She was a little tight in the seat but that happens sometimes on a first ride.  I think it was more because she flew in from Kentucky early that morning and was flying back after doing some riding.  She will for sure be doing more riding in the future and we've talked about a dual trail ride with another lady and me and another pony...that I'm sure will happen!

After Brandy, it was time for Varian to ride me again.  She had been busy with riding RedHotPony and driving him in the cart.  By now, RedHotPony was back to being Goody and was on "Handsome".  It was only natural that we all go down that trail so with Goody and "Handsome" along side, Varian rode me down the trail.  I think the image of this tells a lot of how a rider on a horse (bio or human) can just be seen as a horse & rider. 

It's starting to get late in the day and I can see that look in Lady Contessa's eyes.... That "I want to ride my horse" look.  It didn't happen again that day, after working so hard all morning and riding me earlier as well as taking care of being a great hostess, she was just too tired (and I know she had to be too tired to ride or I would have been in for a long ride as I could tell she really "needed" to let loose and ride).

We all later gathered for a group photo with Brandy on me, Kitty on Goody (cause he was not in role as RedHotPony here), Ron on Spellbound, along with Kristine & Varian.  We also did one with all the crew but I didn't get the ok to show that photo.  So, the day comes to and end and as usual, I'm the last to tack up and always the last to quit.. I was still wanting to be ridden but time ran out and riders who were there were too tired to ride.

It was a blast and I can't wait to do more with all of my great friends in this wonderful lifestyle we call pony play!
