ow did you get involved with pony play? That is probably the most common question I am asked so here is history about me. Elvis Presley had died, I was playing in a band and working part time at a radio station. One of the shifts I worked was the early Sunday morning shift. Since this was mostly pre-recorded programs, I often would read magazines. I was naive and didn't know much, in fact the only reason I picked up the magazine was because of the photo of Elvis on the front. I had no idea what "Forum Variations" was about!

I got to the radio station, opened up the magazine and the first article I read was about 10 women in upstate New York that had a farm. They had both male and female slaves and used them as horses. If I can find that article, I'll post it on here sometime. Anyway, it really got me excited. Then I read an article about a woman who with her clothes on would sit on a guys face making him be her human face seat cushion. Well.. I had those thoughts since the fifth grade when I would fantasize about being the seat cushion for Mrs. Raye, a school teacher who's room was across the hall. To realize that others had the same or similar thoughts was also exciting.

Over the years, I found plenty more articles from this and other publications and grew into an area of interest that became known as Female Domination. Over the years, I've enjoyed and experienced a wide variety of bdsm fun in this area (and haven't found too many things I don't like) but my biggest love stayed with pony play. I dated and married and become less inhibited about expressing my interest and desires but living in the bible belt prohibited much interest from others.

I found computers and BBS early in the computer days and remember my first CompuServe bill back in the early 80s at being over $300. In those days, they had human sexuality forums (much like chat rooms) and I was hooked. Talking to other people with an open mind. I even met a guy from Wisconsin that had a saddle and had been a pony for his girl friend and her lesbian lover. Being open minded, I formed an interest in swinging, but being a single male didn't allow much activity. Then I set up a BBS and met a few local people but still wasn't getting the experiences in being a human equine.

Then came the "national" conventions and events. I had a few friends that would go and tell me about these but my job never gave me the chance to get away. Then one day I decided it was time to start living, quit the job and found one that gave me some chances to travel and off to my first event. Diversions, a bdsm group in Florida that has since changed, had been doing events a few years and the people that operate it were (and still are) great! I wasn't expecting to find anyone with an interest in pony play but to my surprise, I had 7 different riders in 2 nights, 2 ladies to use me as seat cushions and met someone I had admired for many years in contact magazines. Being something new to most of them, I was also interviewed for the local TV stations. Not a bad "coming out" for an ol' southern country boy!

I also was fortunate to be introduced to Paul Reed from Equus Eroticus not long after he started publishing his wonderful magazine. We became friends quickly and I was invited to go with him to California to do a pony demo for QSM. Several things about Paul I would like to mention; 1) he is a great friend 2) he is a giving kinda guy 3) he has a genuine love for the pony play world. We seem to have drifted a bit over the last year as friends sometimes do with schedules and personal interests, plus he moved from Maryland (I relocated here in 2001) to Texas but I am proud to call him my friend and hope he feels the same.

Anyway, having these experiences gave me more confidence and helped me find other riders and learn more about my interest in being a horse. Within a few more years I had attended Black Rose, Leather Retreat, another Diversions event, Beat Me in St. Louis, the Atlanta Bash, a trip to California for some nice video shooting in the redwoods, plus another trip back for Folsom Street Fair and quit a bit more! I had met some of the most beautiful Female Dominants (and submissives) in the world such as Mistress Ice, Maîtresse Lisanne, Ilsa Strix, Mistress Lalique, Domina Britt, Mistress Brandi, (be sure to check their links in the Female Dominants & Riders area) and I could go on and on and on but you get the idea!

I also learned that I have a soul that is truly a soul of a horse so for me it is more than just pony "play". For me, when I get into my role as a horse, I AM a horse not a man acting or role playing AS a horse. I also expect to be thought of, ridden, trained, treated AS a horse.

So there are the basics of how I became a human equine. As for personal information, I am in my early 50s, 5'11" 200 lbs and have had riders just over 300 pounds on my shoulders. Although I don't strive to break records, I feel AS a horse I should not have an option to deny a rider due to her size. Just as with a real horse, if she desires to ride and is game to climb on, so be it - the horse has no option here and will only respond naturally!
